Re: NAQT ICT Survey and Policies
The changes sound good. Now NAQT needs to apply those policy changes to IS sets.

Re: NAQT ICT Survey and Policies
On the plus side, these changes all look really good.
On the minus side: Great stupid survey response, or greatest stupid survey response?
On the Bonus Conversion thread, 3% of people claimed that the winning team should have the lowest bonus conversion for which one could select an answer, 7.0 ppb.
Not only that, but 2% of people claimed that the median team should have the lowest bonus conversion for which one could select an answer.
This means that at least one person voted for the winning team to have a lower bonus conversion than the median team.

What? A survey with no controls on voting leads to wacky results? Excuse me while I pick up my monocle.cvdwightw wrote:

Re: NAQT ICT Survey and Policies
As I have observed other organizations (including marketing), I admit when I use surveys for the variety of reasons and organizations, I use them to identify problems and open conversations to consider them (and that's how other admins work with surveys anyway). But if over half of the US population believes I should be teaching creationism in my molecular biology class (or heck, any science class for that matter), it doesn't mean I have to change policy without discussion. I would thus go to focus groups to really dig deeper into reasons for those opinions to see the perspectives and consider how that can be incorporated.
But I agree... those distribution changes are welcome indeed.

Re: NAQT ICT Survey and Policies
So while really bored during presentations, I checked the survey results and based on the published changes to the distribution, NAQT is missing 3% of their questions.
Im not accusing anyone of anything; I just found this and was curious.

I think Dwight covered this here, though I'm not sure if his numbers match with yours.Frater Taciturnus wrote:So while really bored during presentations, I checked the survey results and based on the published changes to the distribution, NAQT is missing 3% of their questions.
