Hampshire'd probably come to this! Are teams attending mirrors required to write packets?

Yogesh Raut's 2nd (and 1st solo) All-Movies Tournament: These Fragments I Have Shored Against My Ruins
This event will be a singles tournament consisting of 5 rounds of 40 "tossup" questions each, with reshuffling based on rank after each round. There are no powers, and neg rules will be in effect. If necessary, a cap of 120 points per round will be instituted; players who reach that level will no longer be allowed to buzz in until the next round, but they will be ranked ahead of all other players (in the order in which they reach the limit). It is at the moderator's discretion whether or not to cut off buzzing after a set number of incorrect guesses, but this should be held consistent across rooms and across rounds.
Distribution:
The bulk of questions will focus on "mainstream" American and British cinema (with the two national cultures weighted equally, and an emphasis on works of artistic merit). Other categories that will be represented, to a lesser extent, include foreign-language cinema, silent cinema, art/avant-garde cinema, "trash" cinema, short films, common links, film criticism, film theory, and miscellaneous film-related topics. The answer selection will include not only the usual (titles, performers, directors, characters, miscellaneous common links) but also - again, to a lesser extent - writers, composers, critics, and technicians. Nevertheless, strict notability guidelines are in effect.
Length:
No question is longer than 8 lines (Times New Roman, 10 pt, 1" margins). Most are between 6 and 7 lines; only a couple are shorter than 5 lines.
Difficulty:
Questions will be pyramidal, and the answers will range from highly well-known to slightly obscure. Expect both the clues and the answer space to be a bit tougher overall than at TRASHionals (as befitting a one-subject tourney). However, none of the answers will be more obscure than the hardest part of a TRASHionals bonus.

I suspect you'd get a better audience for a Sunday mirror of Dwight Science than for this. You might even want to consider running Dwight Science as a recruitment event, considering you're at that crazy MIT place.

Well, as I told Grace at SCT, Brown will bring one team. I don't think we'll have enough people for a B team though. I will be playing the science tournament and I can read for movies.
edit: and Dan Klein, who will be coming with me, is going to play science as well, so please put him on that list.

That's the current field update. At this point, it looks like we won't be needing Katy and that we'll be running a double round robin. Something like that.

We're going to have two teams. Two buzzers if Kyle comes, one otherwise. That will be updated soon.
EDIT: also, it looks like we have nine people, so those two Brandeis people could get a loaner from us, or if you need to beef up a scab team, or whatever.

Our second Yetman game was 280-175, not 180-175. (Giving us 20ppb that round, not 10ppb.) Thanks for prompt stats and an excellently run tournament.
