Depending on what I do for spring break, I may be available to read.

This tournament will now use IS-83, which will also be used at Huskie Bowl.
In addition, it is now PACE-affiliated.

Huskie Bowl has now switched to an HSAPQ set, so this is no longer a conflict! Woohoo!gack1224 wrote:This tournament will now use IS-83, which will also be used at Huskie Bowl.

Also, throwing the hat into the ring for freelance moderating, if you need it. If you still need people at the end of February, email Kristin and/or me and we'll check our schedules. We should be free.

Due to my error with dates, the date in the headline is wrong. The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 28, NOT March 29.
Perhaps a moderator can change this?

You should be able to fix this yourself by editing the topic of your initial post.gack1224 wrote:Due to my error with dates, the date in the headline is wrong. The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 28, NOT March 29.

Field update?
Re: Bettendorf Invitational (03/28/09) Bettendorf, IA
Just updated. Muscatine signed up today; so far, a very small field.

No Pleasant Valley? That's quite disappointing to me. The contact over there would presumably be Kate Stangler, if you need someone to follow up with or anything.

According to your website, you have 7 teams. Why not just run a double RR + finals?gack1224 wrote:PV has not responded to any emails. Next year we may just mail something.

Regina signed up today. I am inclined to have as many rounds as possible, but finals should last only 3 rounds. I'll look at the schedule again....

Re: Bettendorf Invitational (03/28/09) Bettendorf, IA
Thanks for the offer Mr. Riley, but we have a small enough field that we have an abundance, and fortunately not a shortage, of help.
Since we had a lot of moderator offers this year and a fairly small field, we're looking at a different cost structure for next year, possibly allowing the first half of the field that provides a moderator and buzzer to be free.
There's still room for one (or three) more team(s), but I think we're about set with the current field.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to moderate; we'll see about next year.
