This was pretty fun to play--thanks to editors/staffers/everyone who helped. I repeated Mr. Price's observation that it was also great to meet some neat people I had only interacted with online before, including Katy Peters, Chris Chiego, and of course, Jeff Hoppes.

I think Jeff Hoppes' team won. I don't know the rankings of the teams. Stats were kept and will probably be posted soon.

Woody Paige wrote:Given this tournament was run with a flash drive, an iPhone, and post-it notes, I hereby christen Bryce and Katy the MacGyvers of quiz bowl. I was kind of hoping a buzzer system would break down to see what they might rig up to replace it. Maybe something with some room towels, a telephone cord, a TV remote, and a tube of toothpaste... I know they could make it happen.
Let's save that title for someone who manages to run a larger guerrilla tourney on a phone & post-its - thankfully, seven teams is small enough that we probably could have improvised a good deal more had it been necessary. That said, thank you for coming out just to staff, and for being patient with delays, etc.

I'm on it.
I have them, and will post them today or tomorrow.

I'm missing full stats from a couple of games in round 7 - Meigs/Byrne and Chiego/Simons. I have down who won those games, but nothing else. If you can help me out with those, email me - bdurgin AT nd DOT edu.

Jeff at 35-21-15. Wow...

EDIT: I now really wish i had played this. The set is just awesome. I love geography but i'm sure i'm only barely as good as a mediocre player in this sort of field. Oh well.
