The minimum fee for a team is $0. For more details on the discounts offered, see http://www.acf-quizbowl.com/documents/p ... b.php#fees

Packets:
Again, as per ACF standards, any team whose members did not play in a collegiate tournament before September 1, 2008 is exempt from having to submit a packet. All other teams are required to submit a packet to play in the tournament. The packet-submission deadlines and corresponding discounts/penalties are as follows:

• Sept 19, 2009: -$50
• Sept 26, 2009: -$25 (-$50 for teams not required to submit packets)
• Oct 10, 2009: No penalty (-$25 for teams not required to submit packets)
• Oct 17, 2009: +$25
• Oct 24, 2009: +$50
• After Oct. 24, 2009: The editors may grant one or more 24-hour extensions at an additional penalty of $10 per day.

Please send completed packets to [email protected], and have the subject line of “ACF Fall 2009: [Team Name].” See http://acf-quizbowl.com/documents/packetsub.php to read more about how to distribute and format your packet. Note that failure to follow the formatting guidelines on that page can result in monetary penalties.

Format/Location/Time/etc.:
Further information will be provided once we have more information on the number of teams. (The tournament is likely to be in the same building as the NAQT SCT last year. There is a home football game, but we should start early enough that parking shouldn't be any more of a problem than it was last year.) For more information, e-mail Boise State Quiz Bowl at [email protected].

Can we get a field update?

It's looking likely that we'll be bringing 2 teams.

Right now, I only have commitments from the following schools:

UW (2)
Boise State (2, probably; maybe more if I can get some people who haven't been coming to practice to play)
BYU (1)
Bishop Kelly (1)

Edit: I'd like to hear from the people at EFT. Gonzaga, Whitman and Portland State? When I talked to them at the EFT, they were undecided about it.

Also, there's a possibility of Juan Diego High School in the Salt Lake City area coming.

Colin, unfortunately, Portland State will not be in attendance at ACF Fall. Since recruitment is progressing very slowly at the moment, and I neither can nor want to write an entire packet by myself, count me out. Sorry. I definitely look forward to attending future Boise State tournaments, though.

Good luck!

FYI, UW B (led by Steven Diamond) won this tournament, going undefeated with a record of 9-0 (we played a double round robin, but Bishop Kelly left after the first round robin). UW A (Brittany and Andrew) was in second at 6-3.

I'll have full results posted when I get to a reliable internet connection. My home connection has been flaky all day.

As stated, Steven Diamond had the top individual score at 106 ppg.

UW B, lead by Steven, took first at 9-0.
UW A and Boise State A tied for second at 6-3 (when the forfeit win over Boise State B which left before their game with Boise State A is included)

I want to thank UW and Bishop Kelly for participating, and I'm sorry that Brigham Young couldn't make it at the last minute. One of these days, maybe we'll get more than 3 schools at a tournament.
