I believe Stanford has said that they want to discuss this with West Coast teams and figure out the best date.Bentley Like Beckham wrote:Do you know when Stanford's mirror is going to be?

I'm assuming this means that "Illinois" is really "Illinois A" and "UIUC" is really "Illinois B" based on the packets received post.Crazy Andy Watkins wrote:Packet from Illinois is in, hooray!

Dartmouth A has submitted; with this first packet of deadline night I remind you that you have less than four hours left.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: T-Party
We're waiting on a Brown packet (and I've heard that Maryland will maybe be playing at VCU, and I'm betting Chris Ray has played a couple tournaments before), but I should note the complete set of submitted packets so far:
Yale A
UMN
Brandeis
Dunbar
OSU
Adam Liem et al (Georgia Tech, likely)
Michigan A
Eden Prairie
Carleton A
UIUC A
UIUC B
USC
This is a great picture. Also, I should note that science is very close to completion, and that anyone interested in playtesting is more than welcome to email me; we'll set something up in IRC.

I have gotten no word from prospective playtesters! This is a shame. Let me let you in on a secret: some TESTAMONIALS from satisfied former playtesters!

I'd be interested in playtesting, though I'm not that great a player so it might not be worth your time. I'm not going to any mirrors since nobody else at UCLA wants to drive up to Stanford. What time/date works for you? Maybe Sunday morning/early afternoon?

Hopefully we'll have time to proofread it so we don't have any "testamonials" floating around.Crazy Andy Watkins wrote:I'm crushed!Jeremy Gibbs Free Energy wrote:You think you're amusing, but you really are not.True!Cheynem wrote:Bad Andy. Good T-Party.

I'll probably be on IRC tonight with dozens of history tossups to playtest.

What would be involved in play testing? I consider myself to be around an average physics player and could help out there.

I read questions in the IRC; people play them and have great fun; people comment as to what should change.Old Man of the Mountain wrote:What would be involved in play testing? I consider myself to be around an average physics player and could help out there.

Sounds like a blast. I will have to get set up with an IRC client and find the channel at some point after this weekend.Crazy Andy Watkins wrote:I read questions in the IRC; people play them and have great fun; people comment as to what should change.Old Man of the Mountain wrote:What would be involved in play testing? I should mention that this is seven days after the +50 deadline, meaning that you have to submit by tonight at 4:00am CST for your entry to be penalized no more than $120.

Science is finished and I've re-edited it a bit (save packets I'm still waiting on, but that's neither here nor there) and so playtesting begins tonight at 6pm Eastern. Meet me in #tpartyplaytest.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: T-Party
Thank you, everyone who just playtested with me for three and a half hours. We got through six packets, and I can't overemphasize how helpful it was to have input from real, live people on these questions. Tomorrow we'll probably start a little bit earlier--I'd liked to have started closer to six tonight--and we'll try to get through the rest of the set.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: T-Party
I've just set up a hidden forum for the discussion of T-Party. TO ENTER:
From your user control panel, select usergroups. Find T-Party at the bottom of the list, then click the radio button and submit as "join selected." Andy, Rob, and Bernadette will be in charge of approving people to join the T-Party discussion, so if you think they might not recognize your username, let them know who you are.
