Access to SCT discussion forum
Matt and I have just set up a restricted-access SCT discussion forum.
Directions:
From your user control panel, select usergroups. Find "sct discussion" on the list, then click the radio button and submit as "join selected."
For obvious reasons, I will only approve people who have played at a completed SCT. Let me know your real name if you think I might not recognize your username thanks to Fred's wikipedia-based anarchy of last week.

Sorry if I'm being dense, but once we've joined the group, how do we access the forum?

Re: Access to SCT discussion forum
Once you've joined and been approved by the forum administrator, the SCT discussion forum will show up on the front page of forums for you (underneath the SNOW vs. QUIZBOWL forum). You won't see it until the administrator approves your entry, though, so if you've joined and are not seeing anything yet, that's why.

I did not play SCT but am not an active player and will never play this set. I requested to join the group because I am always curious to see discussion of sets in order to improve my own skills as a writer/editor.

Are we still waiting for the SCT to happen somewhere else? If not, is there a reason why we still need this to be private?

Re: Access to SCT discussion forum
CCCT is Saturday, and there are a number of high school events later this spring using the DII SCT set as preparation for nationals.
This does mean that DI-only questions are now clear: but you need to either email me, or use the NAQT database, to confirm that the question is DI only before posting anything.

(I hadn't realized that high schools played on this set. I didn't remember it being closed to discussion last year.)
