On a more serious note, expect Berkeley to claim some number of those weekends. (But we won't be able to reserve rooms until late August or so.)

Just wondering, I heard that this year was Gaius's last year as TD. But he called me a few weeks ago and left me a message asking about summer tournaments. Does anyone have any clarifying information either way about what he's going to do? I'd like to help Berkeley run a few more tournaments next year so the circuit isn't completely dead ( like this year was ) and I'd rather not run into some conflicts with him.

We'll be trying to get a few mailing lists for sure. This year, we're aiming to increase attendance from traditional Quiz Kids teams as well.

Yeah, we feel that if we advertise it as a sort of Quiz Kids prep, local teams who are otherwise unreceptive to attending several tournaments per year might consider us a viable option.

Can anyone from Stanford comment on when Cardinal Junior Classic will be this year?

I asked this question at the opening meeting of Collegiate Novice, and learned that this will happen sometime in November.

According to naqt.com, Archbishop Riordan HS in San Francisco is running a tournament on December 4th using IS #99A.

If Cal Classic goes well next month, we will probably host a winter tournament using IS #98.

We have been informed that Cardinal Junior Classic is being hosted this Sunday, the 7th.

Archbishop Riordan's tournament has been postponed (they were unable to reserve rooms because of the SAT date). It will be rescheduled for an as-yet unspecified Saturday in January.

Yes. I will announce once we 1) reserve rooms and 2) make sure there aren't any college tournaments the same date.

The first post in this thread has been updated with some dates from the NAQT website. Expect Bellarmine to claim one weekend in March or April to host another tournament, likely on the BATE set.
