After wasting about 20 minutes or so vigorously going through "Eagles" schools, I know the answer but will not post due to the douchebagery it would cast upon me.

My random guess is Athens HS because I think he went to Athens State at some point.

Personally I was thinking Pisgah High School in Dekalb County but Athens High would be a closer drive for him and a larger school

I guess this is analogous to waiting 27 minutes despite being told Lebron would reveal his decision within the first 10 minutes.

Alas... The Internet failed me. I am currently piggy-backing off an unknown neighbor's router. As such, I will make the announcement tonight (August 3rd) at 7:00 pm. I apologize for the delay. Also, I am enjoying this WAY too much...

Starting today, I am teaching English and Coaching Quiz Bowl at the only International Baccalaureate World School in Huntsville, AL.

I will be coaching at Columbia High School. This school was built in 2005 and is the newest school in Huntsville. It is growing at a rapid rate, having progressed from 2A to 5A already. It is still growing fast, with around 750 total students.

More information can be found here:

http://www.hsv.k12.al.us/schools/high/c ... 0876779840

I will be meeting with interested students next week and hopefully starting practice ASAP. My goal is to qualify for the HSNCT this year and compete in Atlanta. I will be focusing on 10th graders and incoming freshman, especially those from our sister school, the Academy for Science and Foreign Language. Slowly I hope to build Columbia up to be a state and national powerhouse.

I feel that with the caliber and diversity of students that Columbia attracts, I will be able to reach these goals and help Columbia enter and thrive in the world of quiz bowl.

DAR - August 28. I will debut my new team.

Thanks to everyone for your support during this transition!

Go Eagles!!!!

Sounds like a good school. Huntsville is about 3 hours south of Bowling Green, so y'all are welcome to attend an event at WKU if you ever feel like it.

Good luck in leading the Eagles.

Was any of this really necessary?

No. I suppose this wasn't purely necessary. However, I was going through one of the most difficult and trying times in my life, and the people on this board reached out to me and made me feel better. Furthermore, many of them put me into contact with people who could help me. Several of the job leads I was given led to interviews and phone calls.

While all of this was done with a bit of tongue-in-cheek good humor, it was actually very therapeutic and comforting. I truly do appreciate all of the support and well-wishing of all of you.
