Would it be possible to see the text of the 1837 Rebellion question? It's not for critique, I just want to see it.

During this conflict, Nils von Schoultz was captured after the Hunters' Lodges lost to the forces of Henry Dundas in the Battle of the Windmill. The Constitutional Act of 1791 inspired this uprising directed against John Strachan and other members of the (*) Family Compact. The struggle at Montgomery's Tavern helped start this conflict, which led to the call for self-government in the Durham Report. For 10 points--William Lyon Mackenzie led what uprising in Upper Canada?

Would it be possible to see the text of the 1837 Rebellion question? It's not for critique, I just want to see it.

I realize there's a bit of an asymmetry between Canadian and American teams, but this seems like a pretty hard question for SCT.

Canadians here (there were a lot of them) report that they were frustrated by not realizing that the rebellion was just called "the Rebellion of 1837." At least one Canadian knew it was "that rebellion led by Mackenzie," which would have been right had he not decided to wait until the end of the question in case there were more clues.

This is one of the very few tossups I had go dead while reading for a field with Minnesota A in it very strong field.

I would agree that the 1837 Rebellion is perhaps too difficult for the SCT, though of course I'm sure it was converted in all of our rooms. My reason for wanting to see it was more personal; mired in thoughts of American history and not paying terribly close attention, I negged with "The Whiskey Rebellion", which was suitably embarrassing.

I recognized the first clue right away as something that happened in an upper Canadian revolt. I then spent the rest of the tossup pondering what it would be called or if I was just badly misremembering Red River Rebellion clues. It was converted by Carleton.

Yeah this is pretty hard for sct. I figured out pretty quickly it was a rebellion in canada and subsequently negged with red river rebellion thinking that sct would not ask for this--silly me.
