RC Cola Classic at UT-Chattanooga 5/1/2011

Post by Your Genial Quizmaster »

UTC will host the RC Cola trash tournament on Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Chattanooga. Questions will be provided by Jeremy White, who has moved production of his longstanding FOGHAT set from fall to spring this year. This will follow our intercollegiate academic tournament, the Moon Pie Classic on Saturday 4/30/11. Further details will follow soon.

Here are the basics for the RC Cola Classic: at UTC:

Registration starts at *8:30* AM EDT Sun. 5/1/11, tournament starts at 9:00. We will meet in Holt 124 unless you see a sign otherwise on the doors to Holt Hall. (If you need directions, see the Moon Pie Classic invitation on the College forum.)

Base fee is $80.

Discounts:
- $5 per buzzer for up to two buzzers
- $10 for each official for the Moon Pie Classic 4/30

As noted before, we're using the FOGHAT questions, so if you've already heard those, we'll gladly let you read instead.

Is there a discount for teams that are also playing in the Moon Pie? Also, is it possible to get a field update?

Congratulations to The Talking Dead, winners of the 2011 RC Cola Classic trash tournament at UT-Chattanooga 5/1/2011. The Talking Dead defeated Travails with Charlie Sheen in a playoff. Full stats can be found at Scobo Tournament Central:

Thanks to Jeremy White for generating yet another entertaining FOGHAT set for our use, and to the crew of volunteers, especially Ruth Jackson, who took over as tournament director when I had to leave mid-tournament.
