One of TJ E's games against Longfellow has somewhat messed up stats -- it says we heard 21 bonuses and got 50 points on them, which is incorrect in several ways (also, it says there were 0 tossups heard). My record of the game shows 160 points earned on 10 bonuses heard, which is consistent with the total number of points in the game. Longfellow's stats for that round seem to be fine.

Should be fixed now.

Okay, is that like an actual "real" E Team, though? You guys notoriously split up your teams in interesting ways. TJ pretty much keeps it straight.

Well technically the D team did worse than the E team (going winless) but I do agree that the MSJ team isnt a Real E team since they didn't have a B or D team at the tourney.

Yeah, I didn't mean this seriously. Also, it's just MSJ, not "you guys."

Er, i guess i meant to say "teams in California" since it's not the only instance of that being done there that i've seen.

Anyway, my first point stands, TJ is going to be a heck of a team for a long long time if their E Team is about as good as my A at this point.

Mad props to TJ B, who beat us (on a sudden-death tiebreaker), WJ, their own A team, and gave Maggie Walker their closest game of the tournament. A much-deserved second place.

Well, there's an interesting story about that E team...see, the team actually consisted of two sophomores and two seniors. The two seniors (myself and Daniel) had never done quizbowl before, although we have reasonably deep science knowledge and are good friends with many people on the quizbowl team. Thus TJ E was really good at science/math/tech/trash questions, passable on history/government, and not very good at other stuff. Basically, the team isn't *all* that representative of the future of TJ quizbowl. :P

It was a fun tournament though!
