By the way, if you're bringing a buzzer the main event please bring it to this tournament as well.

So what's the name of the building for the tournament/registration?
The building is Harper. I believe we're meeting in Room 103.
Harper 130 is the big auditorium that you may be thinking of.

The lecture hall that is reserved for Sunday is Harper 140, so that would be the best place to meet. All the other rooms that we reserved for Friday/Saturday are the same on Sunday, though.

Ok, meet there in that case.

Updated stats through the Prelims can be found here (assuming that my understanding of the protest resolution is correct).

Jeremy White's team cleared the field. The set is not cleared yet. Can someone please set up a private forum?

EDIT:
Prelims
First Rebracket
Second Rebracket
Second Rebracket (Last Three Games Only)
Combined

The records for the "Me and My Quizbowl" bracket (Places 5-8) in the second rebracket ought to be ignored. Since those teams had no common opponents, the only games that matter for those placings are the three final games they played. Thus the second "Second Rebracket" stats page.

Feel free to PM me any errors. I'll fix them sometime after I fix the main event errors. Don't PM me about the round report, I accidentally marked one game as round 12 instead of round 11.

While we wait for the private forum to get set up, here are some general thoughts about the set:

First, thanks to Jerry Vinokurov (the soccer and most of the pro basketball), David Letzler (a lot of the baseball) and Jeremy Eaton (some music and some videogames) for contributing some questions to this tournament.

Second, thanks to everyone who helped moderate, keep score or enter stats yesterday.

Regarding the set itself, as expected it erred a bit on the easy side compared to previous CO Trash tournaments. I personally don't see this as a huge issue as I still think the tossups and bonuses distinguished between the top teams at this tournament, but maybe others disagree. I made a particular effort to make the videogame distribution at this tournament easier and less Bentley-equse than in the past, so I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on that.

There were a few small distribution issues that I would have liked to fix (especially in music and sports), although the compressed time table for writing this tournament made that a bit difficult.

My general thoughts are that (for the most part!) the tossups gradated difficulty pretty well. I think the rather high proportion of common links or "this location/this surname/this object" questions occasionally rewarded somewhat superficial knowledge (I powered at least a couple things because I remembered a title, not because I actually know anything about it). The bonuses could probably have seen a slight boosting in difficulty of middle parts, but were certainly fine, and the hard parts were usually pretty hard.

I really liked that the sports questions on specific series allowed you to just say the two teams involved.

Hey so I removed everyone from the old CULT group. Sign back up for that group to join in on the discussion for this tournament.

Do we apply for the group simply called "Cult" or the one called "Cult Discussion"? I signed up for the latter.

Is there any chance someone could show me how/where to apply for this group?

All mirrors are done, the set is now on Wastebin (along with Penn Bowl Trash 2011 and the Harry Potter tournament, which I thought I had posted earlier but apparently neglected to do).

Are you sure they are on there? I just looked on there and they were not.

Yes, they're the second and third entries. Try refreshing.
