Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: MAGNI Mirror at McMaster - October 29th, 2011
So you guys know, Buffalo may have to back out of this. Our Student Association's Finance Dept. is giving us trouble, so we may not have the money to pay in any reasonable amount of time. I'll keep fighting, but things do not look very promising. Updates will be made public as we find out new details.
EDIT: We're back in! After much consternation, we were able to work out a loan (since all this is the bureaucracy's fault, not ours)

So it's looking like just me and Daniel P will be representing Waterloo. Any chance we could get some sort of shorthanded discount?

Ditto, as it looks like there's a good chance Case will only be able to show up with 2 guys.the third garrideb wrote:So it's looking like just me and Daniel P will be representing Waterloo. Any chance we could get some sort of shorthanded discount?

I just told Arjun that I'd like to attend MAGNI, so I guess we're up to three people now? Not sure if this would nullify any potential discount...the third garrideb wrote:So it's looking like just me and Daniel P will be representing Waterloo. For shorthanded teams/solo players, I don't mind charging a base fee of $25 per person.
As with MOO, we will be playing in on the second floor of the McMaster University Student Center. MUSC is the building number 51 on the following map, or email us if you need more directions: http://www.mcmaster.ca/welcome/campusmap.cfm . We will be starting play at 9:30, and look to finish for 7:00 PM at the latest, so please arrive for 9:00 or so.

Please remind me...do you guys take American dollars straight up or should I plan on bringing Canadian bills for registration?

As of right now, it looks like I'm flying solo, so I can either join a team or be a solo team to even out the numbers.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: MAGNI Mirror at McMaster - October 29th, 2011
Our eligibility rules require that all teams competing at any site of MAGNI be composed entirely of players who attend one school in which they are all enrolled. This has required some players at previous sites to play solo; if you're the only one from your school here, it requires the same of you.Senator_Jay wrote:As of right now, it looks like I'm flying solo, so I can either join a team or be a solo team to even out the numbers.

Steven: I am happy to take USD at par, so if getting Canadian dollars is at all an inconvenience, don't worry about it.swwFCqb wrote:Please remind me...do you guys take American dollars straight up or should I plan on bringing Canadian bills for registration?

One team from each of the above schools showed up. A double round robin was played and the house team went undefeated to win.
