TERP 2 Mirror @ Waterloo (02/11/12)

The University of Waterloo Quiz Bowl Club will be hosting a mirror of TERP 2, on Saturday, February 11th 2012.
The original thread for this tournament, including packet distribution, can be found here.

The tournament will happen on the fourth floor of the Mathematics and Computing building (denoted MC on this map), as per usual.
Please meet in MC 4058 at 9 am. We aim to start promptly at 9:30 am. The game rooms will all be nearby.

Fee Structure
Base fee: $100
Fee for subsequent teams: $10 lower for each team (ie, $100 + $90 + $80 for three teams)
Staffer: -$5 each
Functional Buzzer: -$10 each
Distance: -$10 for greater than 200 miles traveled
High Schools: -$25
New to Quizbowl: - $50
Shorthanded: -$10 per missing player

Western defeated McMaster A in a one-game final to win Waterloo's mirror of TERP 2.

I would just like to offer my thanks to Waterloo for what was possibly the best-organized tournament that I've ever attended. We basically did not start this until well past 10:00 due to inclement weather, but we got eleven rounds in by 6:15, a pace which is almost unheard of at most Canadian events. Jj did a great job marshaling her staff today, and they were uniformly excellent.

This tournament was also probably the best-written trash tournament that I've played, so props to Logan and the rest of the Maryland writing team for that!
