I'm pleased to announce that, by popular demand, Mike Wong has agreed to reprise his role as TD of TRIUMVIR 2. Coaches should expect to receive updates from him as the tournament date nears (although registration documents should still be sent to my email, as indicated in the invitation letter).

Will you be able to confirm whether your teammate can also staff (or could you send Mike Wong his information so that MW can pester him instead)?

Re: TRIUMVIR 2 on January 14, 2012 at Metea Valley HS
The tournament field is really shaping up! There are sill a few of the usual suspects waiting to claim their spots (like the host school, for example), but we should easily be able to hit one of the nice field sizes (12, 16, 18, ...).
If you are an available staffer, we would really love to have you at TRIUMVIR. Rumor has it that Mike Wong treats his staff well.

A recent surge of registrations has carried us over our initially-stated cap of 18 teams. Given the current availability of staffers, we will keep the field open to 24 teams (but we will not be able to go over that number).

We have been given word that TRIUMVIR 2 has achieved Platinum certification with PACE. The top 25% of the field, that is the top 6 teams, will earn a bid to NSC.

Re: TRIUMVIR 2 on January 14, 2012 at Metea Valley HS
Good stats, though I believe Anand played the whole match against Crete-Monee, seeing as he got 11 tossups. Fortunately, he still stays in 2nd for the morning.
EDIT: Which would mean Peter only played half of that match.
EDIT: This next sentence is wrong.
Overall, it looks like Andrew Wang/New Trier and Loyola tied for first, because Andrew lost to Loyola B but beat Loyola A, and they didn't want to play a final. Stevenson probably got 3rd, not sure about after that.
Loyola B, WWS, Wheaton North, Fenton, and Stevenson B in an indeterminate order.
EDIT: Which would mean Peter only played half of that match.

Playoff stats and stats for the entire day are now up.
Loyola A cleared the field to claim the championship. Loyola B and New Trier (Andrew Wang playing solo) were tied for second. Since it was getting late, it was decided that both teams would be declared T-2nd. Stevenson A and Wheaton Warrenville South A were T-4th. Stevenson B and Fenton were T-6th. Wheaton North A finished up the top bracket.
I don't know what PACE's rules are when teams are tied. So I won't comment on nats qualification quite yet. I'll have more things to say a little later when I've recovered.

Still says Ananad for Playoffs only.
That's really not a big deal, and I sort of feel like a tool for posting it, but you asked for corrections...
Anyway, a very good tournament on a good question set. Congratulations to all parties involved.
