Dahlonega's Resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis CANCELED
This tournament has been been canceled due to a lack of interest.
North Georgia College & State University is pleased to announce a mirror of the University of Chicago's house-written tournament for March 3, 2012: "the Peaceful Resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis." Information about the original tournament may be found here.
This tournament is intended as preparation for ACF Nationals and will be open to anyone.
Distribution
4/4 Literature: 1/1 American, 1/1 British, 1/1 European, and 1/1 World.
4/4 History: 1/1 American, 1/1 European (not British), 1/1 World, 1/0 or 0/1 British, and 1/0 or 0/1 Ancient/Classical.
4/4 Science: 1/1 Biology, 1/1 Chemistry, 1/1 Physics, 1/0 or 0/1 Math or CS, and 1/0 or 0/1 Astronomy or Earth Science.
3/3 Arts: 1/1 Painting, 1/1 Music, and 1/1 Other (including Architecture, Sculpture, Installation, Ballet/Dance, Film, Photography).
3/3 RMP: 1/1 Religion, 1/1 Mythology, and 1/1 Philosophy.
1/1 Social Science: Psychology, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, and Political Science.
2/1 Other Academic, Geography, and Current Events
Fees
Base fee per team: $120
Discount for an additional team from the same university: -$10
Functional buzzers: -$10 each (limit one per team)
Staffer: -$10 each (limit one per team)
Travel: --$15 per team if travel in excess of 150 miles by Google Maps' first suggested route.
