CAHOOTS Online Mirror?

Post by Cheynem »

I'm a little uncertain if I can make the actual site of CAHOOTS on May 18. Is there any interest in the online community in an Internet mirror of it, whether through Skype or IRC--the former probably more aesthetically pleasing for games, the latter simpler and requiring less time/focus? If so, what dates work for people? Since I plan on giving Max my 1950's set, I believe based on my interpretation of his announcement, that means I could get a copy of the set and run it for free.

I'd be interested.

I'm not sure how many people Skype can support at a time, but I've had excellent experiences with Google Hangouts.

The online mirror would probably be:

-May 18 or 19
-June 1 or 2

Some time in later June. It begins to get crowded after May what with national tournaments and opens and the like.

Let me know if anyone else is interested, if any date makes sense, etc.

June would be better for me at least.

I would really like to play several of these packets; June 1 would possibly work for me while May 18 almost certainly wouldn't. Post-June 18 would be much better for me if that's at all workable.

I think I could do either one but I don't really know.

I'd play, but May 18/19 is impossible for me. I could only do the early part of the day on June 1 and the late part of the day on June 2. Later in June (other than NSC weekend) would also work for me.

The later this gets moved to, the more likelihood I will deliver on that Star Trek packet I promised to write in the IRC.

I'd be happy to administer a June mirror of some sort if it fits my schedule, but if it's in June, it'll probably be more likely in IRC rather than Skype/Google Hangout form due to my June Internet status unless I can convince any of the Michigan folks to run some sort of online mirror that I would read at.

The June mirror also works better for me. I prefer that this tournament happen over IRC, but I'll probably play it regardless.

If this happens after June 10, I might contribute a fantasy literature packet.

Just for the record, that number is 25.

I too would be interested in playing if it gets held in June.

I'd be interested in early June (or perhaps late June too, I'll be in the Balkans and I don't know what my internet access will be like).

It looks like June is a more plausible date for most people, so when we get closer to that, we will revive interest/discussion of this.

My Internet's going to be pretty spotty in June--so someone else will have to organize the online mirror when the time rolls around (I think more of the packets will probably come in around that time too?).

June came and went. Is there any chance of this still happening?
