+$50 - Packet submitted by Saturday, January 4.
+$100 - Packet submitted after that, with an additional $10/day

PENALTIES:
+$10 - For egregiously bad formatting; teams should stick as closely to the ACF formatting as possible:
http://acf-quizbowl.com/documents/2012- ... formatting

DISCOUNTS:
-$5 - Working buzzer discount, unlimited

Minimum fee per team: $40.

This post will have a running field update at the bottom. To register for this tournament, email me, Isaac Hirsch, at IB[NOSPACE][email protected]. Thanks.

After this tournament, this site will run an event based on difficult 3-5 line questions Maryland players have written for practice over the past year. The distribution will be roughly even with the normal distro, though the difficulty will range from "regular" to "basically impossible." This exciting side event will ONLY be run at the Maryland site, so hey, don't miss it.

To provide some more info on this: This will be five dollars for anyone who wants to play, but FREE to any outside staffers who moderate for this tournament. Some significant portion of the proceeds will go to Matt's Buzzers.

Hey, if anyone is sticking around on the Sunday after this/lives in the area, our tournament could use some help with readers. PM/email me if interested.

To clarify, games will start at 9, which means teams should be in Jimenez by 8:45 at the latest.

I don't know what other areas are expected to get large amounts of snow over the next few days, but is there any contingency plan in the event that the weather causes a substantial hardship for traveling teams?
