MUT @ Louisville (4/26)

Post by sephirothrr »

This is the announcement for the University of Louisville mirror of the Minnesota Undergraduate Tournament that will be held on April 26, 2014.

Information:
Eligibility: Only undergraduate and high school students can play this tournament. If you are a grad student, you may not play.

Difficulty: The difficulty of MUT 2014 will be similar to that of MUT 2013, with (ideally) some of the difficulty spikes evened out. The goal is to provide something

along the lines of past EFTs or MFT 2013--harder than ACF Fall, especially in the early clues and hard bonus parts, but below regular difficulty.
Location and Parking:
Due to room reservation issues at UofL's campus, this tournament will be held at the Southwest Campus of the Jefferson Community College. The address of the campus is 1000 Community College Drive, 40272. The tournament will be located in the Social Science Building. A map of the campus can be found here. Teams may park in the student parking lot.

Fee Schedule:
Base fee: $120
Moderators: -$20 per moderator that we use
Buzzers: -$10 per buzzer set with 8 functional buzzers, max 2 discounts per team
Travel: -$10 per 200 miles one way as determined by Google Maps

Payment
Payment is due on the morning of the tournament. Teams that have not paid by this time will be assessed a $25 late fee.
Specific payment details will follow shortly.

Roster and Team sizes:
Each team may have no more than six players on their roster, no more than four of which may play at a given time. Rosters will be set at the beginning of the day, after which a player may not play for a different team. There are no exceptions.

Registration:
To register, please fill out this form. While posting in this thread is fine, the only way to officially register is to fill out that form.

If you have any questions or concerns, please post here or email me at [email protected]

Is there any possibility we could see an updated field list?

The field has once again been updated.
The original post has also been updated with information regarding the location of the tournament. Notably, this will *NOT* be taking place on the University of Louisville's campus.

Also, because of a recently realized need, I'm doubling the moderator discount. If you can bring a staffer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats to Austin for going undefeated and clearing the field by four games! Also to UK who took a 3.5 ppg lead to secure second place over WKU.

Stats are available here.

A special thank you goes out to Peter Rodski and JCTC for allowing us to use their campus to host this tournament when our campus became unavailable.

I hope everyone here had a great time and I hope to see you guys some more, though next time from on the same side of the moderator desk.

Thanks for running a good tournament. If I would have known the booby prize was a copy of 50 shades of gray, I would have jumped in and negged a few times. Damn.

There was one minor error on the stats that have been fixed, so they should be correct now.

I demand my copy of 50 Shades.

In all seriousness, thank you again for running a great tournament. My team had a really good time and it was a great way to end our season.
