There was no such tossup, but we did have a bonus part:

Powers/TUH:
Prelim: 3198/11300 = 0.283
Playoff: 719/2115 = 0.340
(Overall: 3917/13415 = 0.292, but I don't take this to mean much because the prelims account for almost all of the TUH)

TORCH infections and IgG can cross this organ, but IgM cannot. It secretes hormones to maintain the endometrial lining, and deoxygenated blood reaches it via the (*) umbilical arteries. For 10 points--name this temporary organ that forms on the uterine wall and nourishes a developing fetus.

What would it take for NAQT to be convinced to change the math questions at msnct in the ways I outlined in the other thread?

At a minimum, we would want to make sure that middle school coaches and players wanted to see changes in our policy toward math questions. (We haven't finished tabulating the surveys from MSNCT yet; policy change for all 2014-15 tournaments is something to discuss after the 2014 HSNCT is concluded.)

Yes, but I probably won't get to it until after the HSNCT. (In the latter case this is obvious.)
