Ezell-Harding Academic Tournament - Nashville, TN (9/20/14)
We have e-mailed the invitations and registration forms for our twenty-first Ezell-Harding Christian School Academic Tournament to be held on September 20, 2014, in Nashville, TN. If you did not receive this information and would like a copy, please e-mail me at [email protected].
We will again use a round-robin format, and we will be using NAQT Questions (IS Set #138). We will be playing with powers and bounce back bonuses, but with no negs or worksheet. At the conclusion of the morning rounds, we will give each school a copy of the questions used for the preliminary rounds. We will begin with a coaches' meeting at 8:30 (Central Time) and expect to finish the tournament by 3:30 or 4:00.
Our registration fee remains at $60 per team with a four-team limit per school. There will be a varsity division only though jv teams are certainly invited to compete in our tournament as varsity teams.
We anticipate another full field of 60 teams from throughout the nation, so please register as soon as you know your plans. We look forward to having you again.

In relation to this: We'd be willing to provide you with a statsperson for this tournament. All you have to do is let them go over how to fill out a scoresheet for about 5 minutes before the tournament, and enter the data in throughout the day.Dr. Loki Skylizard, Thoracic Surgeon wrote:Can you all do PPB stats this time please?

We offered to have somebody keep stats in SQBS, but there was no response from Ezell. As far as I can tell, their scorekeepers were not instructed to keep any stats other than the game scores.Fida wrote:Did stats happen?

I only caught a glance of one of the score sheets but I think they did keep information that would allow for everything but individual statistics to be put in if the score sheets were given to someone - meaning PPB and points per bounceback would be able to be calculated, as well as team stats as far as powers and tens go.NickConderWKU wrote:We offered to have somebody keep stats in SQBS, but there was no response from Ezell. Well there are plenty of people in the area (including me) who would be willing to put the stats into SQBS if Ezell wants. I'm done trying to reach out to people to do things when I've repeatedly gotten no response from them though.

Please don't give up, Nick. We need all the help we can get. Of course, I don't know if anyone will listen to you, an out-of-stater. It's just so frustrating and I wish more people would talk about the inefficiencies of Tennessee quiz bowl format and organization.NickConderWKU wrote:Well there are plenty of people in the area (including me) who would be willing to put the stats into SQBS if Ezell wants.
