Here are the results for Spongebob. Congratulations to Tommy for getting almost every question on the first line.

Tommy: 170
Will D.: 85
Eric B.: 50
Sean: 40
Dylan: 25
Joelle: 10
Amol: -30

EDIT: Also, could I please kindly request that there be no discussion of the content of this set yet? I want to try and see if I can run a local mirror of this at a high school tournament some time soon, so I would prefer that the question content remain undisclosed at this point.

Scores for the Warren Zevon packet, an unmitigated disaster punctuated by moments of levity:

Ramapriya 20
Matt Weiner 20
Andrew Wang 20
Dan Passner 10
Trevor Davis 10
Mik Larsen 10
Mike Cheyne 10
Eric Douglass 10
Eric Mukherjee 10
Andrew Hart 10
Bernadette 10
Matt Jackson -5

I almost certainly left somebody out, but I'm trying hard not to think about this anymore.

EDIT: I added someone that I left out by accident and I'm still missing 10 points. Oh well.

On Evan's packet:

Nick Conder 15 / Johnny Quizbowl 10 / Isaac Hirsch 5 / Rob Carson 20 / Carsten Gehring 25 / Tejas Raje 15 / Matt Jackson 5 / Jon Pinyan 25 / Pat Freeburn 10 / Chris Manners 20 / Will Holub-Moorman 10 / Erik Nelson 15 / Will Nedigigiger 35 / Jason Thompson -5 / Auroni Gupta 10 / Andrew Wang 15 / Ramapriya Rangaraju 15

Will Nedigigiger nabbed the very last tossup to break the 3-way tie at 25 and win the packet. A dramatic finish on a dramatic question.

Edit: Evan forgot to read a tossup on <redacted>, which Andrew Wang got for 10, leaving Nedigigiger with the win. Sorted standings:

Will Nedigigiger 35
Carsten Gehring 25
Jon Pinyan 25
Andrew Wang 25
Rob Carson 20
Chris Manners 20
Nick Conder 15
Erik Nelson 15
Tejas Raje 15
Ramapriya Rangaraju 15
Pat Freeburn 10
Auroni Gupta 10
Will Holub-Moorman 10
Johnny Quizbowl 10
Isaac Hirsch 5

Here are the scores from the Pokémon packet:

Andrew Wang: 85
Dylan Minarik: 75
Christine Irwin: 70
Ramapriya Rangaraju: 55
Eddie Kim: 50 (plus an honorary 10 points for beating Rob to the "I like shorts!" tossup)
Max Schindler: 30
Sean McBride: 25
Rob Carson: 20
Auroni Gupta: 20
Jasper Lee: 20
Sinan Ulusoy: 20
Matt Bollinger: -5 (best neg of the packet)
Raynor Kuang -5
Jacob O'Rourke: -5

The room got a stunning 29 PPB, largely thanks to the efforts of Dylan's ability to pull random hard parts.

The prog rock packet scores:

Ben Herman: 80
Pat Freeburn: 30
Dylan Minarik: 25
Will Nediger: 25 (missed first three TUs)
Matt Lafer: 5

At, good lord, 2:48 am Central, Victor Prieto got the final tossup of Festivus. Thanks so much to everyone who wrote and read their questions and to everyone who showed up to play! Next year I think an earlier start is indeed advisable.

E: If you haven't sent me your packet yet, please do; I'll gather them and post them to the archive within a few days.

Y'all think you'll start a bit earlier next year? It seemed like a very late start for no real reason.

Some ideas to shorten things next year:

1. No bonuses on packets.

2. Packets should not exceed 20 tossups (unless the tossups are really short).

3. More general interest packets should get dibs over special interest packets. Special interest packets should either have reasonably firm time announcements or have the right to jump the queue if a glut of people into that interest happens to be present.

4. Moderator/Festivus pope reserves the right to do things to speed up proceedings, such as call a stop to fits of wild guessing/negging, impose time limits on particularly slow responders, force readers to go quicker etc. Rob did this pretty well, but it's worth nothing that there's precedent.

No bonuses is a very good suggestion. Bonuses in the IRC format aren't that fun to play, and they take a while.
