Tarheel Cup at UNC Chapel Hill (10/10/15)

On Saturday, October 10th, 2015, UNC Quiz Bowl will be hosting the 15th Annual Tar Heel Cup.

Location: The tournament will be located at UNC Chapel Hill in Dey Hall.

Packet: We will be using the question set from BASK, more info of which can be found here- http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewto ... 09&t=17446

Fees:
The first team from each school will be $75.
Each subsequent team will be $60.
Each buzzer set brought will be -$5.
Each reader or scorekeeper provided will be -$10.
Each 150 miles traveled will be -$10 (verified through google maps).

Registration: To register for the tournament, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the information of the name of your school, the number of teams you’re registering, and the number of buzzers and staff you plan to bring.

Payment method: Preferred method of payment is via cash or check prior to check-in on the morning of the tournament. Checks should be made out to Carolina Academic team. For those who need to pay in advance make a note in your e-mail when you register and we will get in contact with you about where to mail it to.

Field Cap: The field for the tournament will be capped at 24. Teams that sign-up after we reach the field limit will be placed on a list and if we are able to secure enough rooms and staffers and teams to extend the field we may do so.

Parking: There should be parking lots close or on campus that provide unrestricted parking on weekends but more details about exact locations for parking are available on request.

Food: There are several choices of restaurants on Franklin Street where you can get lunch. We will not be providing food for the players but can recommend places to eat if you ask us.

It is. I'll get Jim to post a field update, but right now we have around 16 teams, I believe.

Congratulations to the Early College of Guilford A team who won the tournament with a perfect record with a close fought final against NCSSM A. We hope you guys had a fun time at the tournament and come out again next year!
