Johns Hopkins Novice Tournament 10/3/15

The Johns Hopkins University Quizbowl Team is pleased to announce the first Johns Hopkins University Novice Quizbowl Tournament!

When and Where
Johns Hopkins University, on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. Registration starts at 8:30 am and the tournament will begin at 9:00 am. The tournament will take place in Shaffer Hall.

Format
This tournament will follow official NAQT rules, which can be viewed at http://www.naqt.com/rules.html

Eligibility
As this is a novice tournament, this tournament is intended for teams that anticipate <21 points per bonus question answered. For questions of eligibility, please email me at [email protected]

Question Set
We will be using NAQT Invitational Series #149A.

Team Entry Fees
$55 per team (minimum of $35 after discounts applied), either cash or check only. Please bring payment on the day of the tournament. Checks should made payable to "Johns Hopkins University"

Discounts
-$10 for staffers, -$5 per working buzzer set.

Food
Pizza will be sold near lunch time, and various restaurants may be found in the vicinity of Johns Hopkins. To see a full list, please visit http://web.jhu.edu/cogsci/visitors/restaurants.html

Parking
Parking is available at the South Garage, at the flat rate of $8 for the entire day.

Please email [email protected] by September 30th and indicate the number of teams, number of buzzers, number of potential staffers. Please include "Johns Hopkins Quizbowl Tournament Registration" in the subject line.
