Lisgar A went undefeated and won the tournament. Lisgar B and Merivale A tied for second.

Unless I'm mistaken, two teams from this tournament qualify for HSNCT. What does the second-place tie mean in terms of who qualifies?

HSNCT qualification rules wrote:In general, every team tied for a spot in the top 15% receives an invitation, though NAQT reserves the right to break ties reported by the host at its own discretion (and so award fewer berths).

Lisgar's coach investigated Merivale's enrollment figures. Merivale is now a small school (unfortunately in some ways) and can probably satisfactorily resolve the tie by being "third" and taking an SSNCT qualification; SSNCT site is far more practical for Canadian teams than HSNCT this year anyway.

We'll double-check Merivale's enrollment and issue invitations accordingly.
