BURI - Myth Side Event

Post by Urech hydantoin synthesis »

Hello everyone,

I apologize for the late confirmation, and hope it's not too late for folks going to Michigan or VCU to get the opportunity to play it, but BURI, a myth side event for the summer of 2016, is officially happening. The set will consists of 7 powermarked packets of 21/0, distributed as follows:

7 Greco-Roman
3.5 Asian (encompasses Ancient Near East, East Asia and India)
2.5 non-Norse/Germanic European
2 Norse/Germanic
1.5 Egyptian
1.5 American
2 Other/Any of the Above
1 Tiebreaker (any of the above)

The intended difficulty is supposed to be Regs+/Nats-, but sometimes, the answerline may mean that the question is harder than that (though questions on tough answerlines will be made as easy as possible). The questions will be 5-6 lines long before powermarking.

Sites that decide to run this will be charged $10/player, but I will reduce it to $0/player if someone (or multiple people) can promise me that that they will write a myth side event for next summer.

and that this is at least the third gen myth side event, how exhausted is the myth canon going to be if a fourth one pops up next year?

Anyway, Mizzou would like to host a mirror of this (along with ARTSEE and potentially Listory).

I'd be down for playing this, sounds like a ton of fun.

Eddie Kim is no longer writing for BURI, but has contributed a ton of questions.

I've heard otherwise in the IRC, so I thought I'd confirm.

Hello everyone,

After discussion among the writing staff, we have decided that extenuating circumstances for some writers have made it impossible to deliver a product of the high quality we want by the upcoming weekend. Therefore, I am announcing on behalf of myself, Ben Zhang, and Eddie Kim that we are delaying it, probably to be a side event to This Tournament is a Crime. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage Tournament Directors and players to look at the abundance of other amazing side events available.

When will this be happening, given that it's not happening at This Tournament is a Crime?
