Barrington narrowly beat fremd in site 23 questions were very good with most math being non computational and there only being one of each agriculture (which was kind of history) and industrial arts.

Class 2A Results from Herscher
1st - Latin
2nd - Timothy Christian
3rd - Herscher
4th - Coal City

I enjoyed the questions, and there seemed to be relatively even distribution of difficulty on the pairs of teamwork questions.

Congratulations to the many teams who played well yesterday, and good luck to the teams that will be competing at State in two weeks.

Big thanks to the Masons, especially Dale Thayer, for running and funding this tournament. I hope that all the sites ran at least half as smoothly as Stevenson did.

Glad to get some positive feedback on the questions. As a moderator, I noticed some flaws, and everyone should feel free to point those out here or by email for the next couple of weeks before the sets are posted. I don't think the questions will be used again, so it is OK to be specific. For the sake of not providing teams on the forums an advantage at State, the writers and editors are not going to provide any lists of answers or philosophical comments about the set until after State.

Donald wrote the lit (including myth) and miscellaneous. Andrew wrote a small number of science questions. I wrote the rest. Jonah helped a lot with the editing. Any flaws with the set are my fault.

I'll echo David's call for specific issues. I will be moderating at State, so if in-person feedback is your preference, come find me.

It looks like the champs are Stevenson, Latin, and Riverdale.
