WORKSHOP SoCal Mirror @ USC Saturday 2/23/20

The USC Quizbowl team will host a mirror of the inaugural iteration of WORKSHOP WORKSHOPto be held at the University of Southern California on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

Update: The tournament was originally supposed to be scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd. However, the school is no longer able to give us rooms for that date so we have pushed to Sunday.

The tournament will be regular in difficulty(2.5 on Ophir Scale). This will be a tournament open to high school teams as well.

Pricing:

Base Fee: $110
$100 for each team thereafter
$55 base fee for new collegiate teams

Teams of more than 6 players will not be accepted for both new and returning teams

Discounts:
- $10 per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)
- $10 per experienced moderator that provides their own laptop or tablet capable of editing Google Sheets
- $5 per 50 miles traveled one-way per team



How to Register:
More logistics information will be provided closer to the date of the tournament to teams that are registered. To register (or if you have any questions), email us at [email protected] with:
1. How many teams you expect to bring (include a request for waitlisted teams)
2. The number of buzzers and/or moderators that you can provide
3. A contact email and phone number
4. Additional discounts (new school or distance)
5. Expected roster for each team

Please include the name of the tournament as well as your school in the subject of the email. e.g. "UCLA registration for USC Workshop"

Registration Limits:
We are implementing a soft field cap of 10 teams until we fully confirm rooms and staffers. Depending on demand, we can aim to increase that to 16.
