This is the official announcement for the College of William & Mary and Johns Hopkins University’s jointly-run 2021 high school tournament, the DMV Regional Championship. The tournament will be held on Discord on March 27th, 2021.
This tournament will be run on the Prison Bowl set. Information about the set can be found here.
This tournament is open to all high school teams in the following states: Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia and North Carolina. All participants must be high schoolers who go to the same school.
Fees for DMVRC will be $75 per team.
There will be a $10 discount for every staffer provided by a school.
The minimum fee is $55.
If your school plans to bring staffers, there will be a cap of two staffers from any one school. Staffers are expected to bring a laptop to keep score and stay throughout most of the tournament.
All teams must pay by the day before the tournament.
The current field cap is 24 teams, but that may change based on staffing logistics. You may sign up to 3 teams per school. Each team may only have a maximum of six players on it, so if you would like to register more than six players, you must register an additional team.
Rules against cheating and misconduct will be strictly enforced at this tournament. We reserve the right to remove anyone suspected of cheating or misconduct from the tournament. If you suspect anyone of cheating, please contact a TD.
In order to register, please fill out this form.
The registration deadline is March 20th and if you must drop from the tournament, please let us know as soon as possible.
We hope to see you soon!

As it is running Prison Bowl, I assume this is an HSNCT-PACE qualifier?

To a first approximation, only tournaments using NAQT questions are qualifiers for the HSNCT.yujie.ho123 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:20 pmAs it is running Prison Bowl, I assume this is an HSNCT-PACE qualifier?

We've increased the field to 24 teams.

And since we're now into the somewhat-open phase of HSNCT registration, the question appears to be moot. ("Somewhat-open" meaning that any high school may register up to two teams, although at present that would be onto the waiting list.)jonah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:49 pmTo a first approximation, only tournaments using NAQT questions are qualifiers for the HSNCT.yujie.ho123 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:20 pmAs it is running Prison Bowl, I assume this is an HSNCT-PACE qualifier?

This tournament has concluded. We'd like to thank everyone for coming, and we'd like to congratulate TJ A on winning the tournament! Stats for the tournament can be found here.
We'd additionally like to announce that this tournament is Platinum PACE Certified, so the top 25% of teams are qualified. The exact group of teams will be listed there, and if you qualified, you can register for PACE on that site.
