Harvard "Fall" Tournament XV

Post by Berniecrat »

This is an announcement for the Harvard "Fall" Tournament XV, a HS regs+ tournament available for mirrors starting April 1, 2023. The set is intended for pre-nationals prep, and so it is intended to be mirrored in April and May, although if there is sufficient interest for mirrors in fall 2023, we may make the set available then as well. The set is produced by former and current members of the Harvard College Bowl club along with some northeastern friends. The set will be head edited by Kevin Wang, with Justin V. Duffy providing additional oversight.

There will be 14 packets in this set, each with 20/20. 12 of the packets will be intended for regular play, while there are two separate finals packets, which will be at a slightly harder difficulty than the rest of the set.

Distribution
4/4 Literature (1/1 American, 1/1 European, 1/1 British, 1/1 World/Ancient/Miscellaneous)
4/4 Science (1/1 Biology, 1/1 Chemistry, 1/1 Physics, 1/1 Math/CS/Earth Science/Astronomy/Other)
4/4 History (1/1 American, 1/1 World, 2/2 European/British/Ancient/Other)
3/3 Fine Arts (1/1 Painting/Sculpture, 1/1 Classical Music, 1/1 Other Arts)
1/1 Social Science/Philosophy
2/2 Beliefs
1/1 Geography/Modern World
1/1 Popular Culture

Mirror Information
The set will be available for mirror for $20/team, although this can be negotiated if there are special circumstances. In order to request to mirror the set, please email [email protected] with the subject line "HFT XV Mirror Request."

Current Mirrors
4/15 - Mainsite @ Harvard
4/15 - Duke

Thank you so much for your interest, and we are excited to revive the grand northeastern tradition of H"F"T!

Best,
Jeffrey E. Fung, Arjun Nageswaran, and Mazin M. Omer (Harvard College Bowl Executive Board '22-'23)

After receiving some feedback, we have revised the number of packets from 15 to 14, with 12 intended for regular play and 2 intended for finals. The post has been updated with this and the date for our main site. Email us at [email protected] if you are interested in hosting a mirror!
