About the Riley Conference:
What is now the Riley Conference began in 2015 as the PACE Coaches Conference, and has since expanded to become a panel discussion on all facets of quizbowl for players, coaches, and other community members.

Since 2016, the conference has been named in memory of David Riley, the longtime quizbowl coach at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL. He was a PACE member, tournament host, chair of the Illinois High School Scholastic Bowl Coaches Association, and question-writer. David remained dedicated to quizbowl even as his health declined, volunteering at tournaments until shortly before his passing in 2015. His enthusiasm for the game has left a lasting legacy on the community, both Illinois and around the country.
