2023 Penn Bowl @ Waterloo

The University of Waterloo Quiz Bowl Club is pleased to announce our mirror of 2023 Penn Bowl. I (Mattias Ehatamm) will be tournament director. This tournament will take place at the MC building on the University of Waterloo campus, with opening meeting at 9:45 AM on October 28. The tournament will aim to begin at 10:00 AM and will likely run until about 6:00 PM. More information for the set can be found at viewtopic.php?p=395703

Eligibility
This is a semi-open tournament. Players eligible for closed teams should play with their university, while some open teams will be allowed to beef up the field.

Registration
Please email [email protected] with your finalized team roster and whether you will be bringing a buzzer set. If you are an open team, please try to do this as soon as you have your roster ready.

The optimistic field cap for this tournament is 8 teams.

Fees
Base Fee: $120 per team

Discounts:
- $10 per working buzzer system
- $10 per 100 miles traveled
- $40 for shorthanded teams (those with 1 or 2 players)

Information for payment will be communicated to teams closer to the date of the tournament.
