SRIRACHA! Novice II @ Scripps Ranch High School (12/3/23)

Scripps Ranch Quizbowl will proudly be hosting SRIRACHA! Novice II or (Scripps Ranch's Incredibly Rad Academic Competition: How Amazing!) on December 3, 2023. This is a closed tournament, so each team must be composed of players from the same school. The tournament will be played on IS221-A. LOCATION:
The tournament will take place at Scripps Ranch High School (10410 Falcon Way, San Diego, CA 92131). Check-in will be held outside the 900 building, and play will occur in the 900 building.

TIMES:
Check-in will begin at 8:30, and rounds will start at 9:00. There will be an all-teams meeting around 8:45, where the brackets will be shared. The tournament should end before 5:00.

FOOD:
There is a shopping plaza with multiple restaurants (Board and Brew, Himalayan Grill, etc.) within walking distance (5-10 minutes) from the campus. Breakfast will be provided.

ELIGIBILITY:
The tournament will be open to all Southern California teams. Players should have <50 PPG in JV tournaments.

Registration will end on 12/2/23. All teams registering after this deadline will be waitlisted. We have a hard cap of 16 teams.

Any teams that drop day-of will still be required to pay fees.

Each school will be limited to registering three teams, with any additional teams being put on the waitlist. New teams will receive priority registration.

Teams will be allowed to have up to 6 players, but only 4 players can play at one time. Teams with more than 6 players will be asked to split into two teams. Teams will only be allowed to make substitutions at halftime.


PRICING:
$80 per team
$70 for each following team

Payment must be provided by cash or check before the tournament begins. Any checks should be made out to Scripps Ranch High School, with Academic League in the subject line.

ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS:
$5 per working buzzer system (for at least eight players).
$50 flat price for each new school team (entirely made up of students that did not play a tournament in the past two seasons)
