MSNCT: Let's Get Shredded

Post by quizbowlchamp1 »

So I'm studying for the MSNCT. Here is my schedule for now.

15 minutes of studying missed answers
15 minutes of QBReader/Protobowl
2 NAQT You Gotta Know's (research anything I don't know)
Review 3 Games of Jeopardy (research anything I don't know)
2 Qwiz5 (research anything I don't know)

Any further ideas?

I'd probably say that jeopardy is lower yield than most of the other things you're doing. Could also read full packets from archives if you want to balance distribution of what you're reading/using as reference to study. Podcasts are still available although nothing at the middle school level after 2019 but SSNCT may be worth listening to if you want to prepare yourself for playoffs

Interesting thoughts, and I agree with the idea of using NAQT podcasts over J!
You might also consider finding public television stations online with streams of past TV tournaments that use NAQT questions -- these won't be nearly as long as MSNCT questions, but will have high-school level content and answers.

So, I have started listening to podcasts while studying. I have also started reading a full HS packet once a week (which is also a great way to find things I don't know).
