2024 Booster Shot @ Columbia

I am pleased to announce that Columbia Quiz Bowl will be hosting a mirror of Booster Shot on February 24, 2024. The tournament will be held at Columbia University in Hamilton Hall and directed by myself, Forrest Weintraub. Gameplay will begin at 9:00 am following an opening meeting at 8:45 am.

Rules:
This is a closed tournament - all players on a team should attend the same college or university. If you have any eligibility questions, please contact me individually at the email address in the Google form.

Payment:
The fee structure for each team is the following:
- Base fee: $120 USD
- Buzzer discount: -$10 / working buzzer set
- Approved moderator discount: -$15 / staffer with laptop
- Travel discount: -$10 per 200 miles one way (according to Google Maps)
- Shorthanded discount (1-2 person team): -$45
- Minimum fee: $50 USD

The field will initially be capped at 16, which may be expanded depending on staffers and interest. Any teams above the cap will be placed on a waitlist. The registration deadline is February 21, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET.
