I am pleased to announce that The Academic Team at THE Ohio State University and Ohio University Quizbowl will be hosting an online Booster Shot mirror on March 9th, 2024. I, Luke Miceli, will be serving as Tournament Director for this tournament. Young Fenimore Lee from OU Quizbowl will be handling various logistics before the day of the tournament.

Logistics
The tournament will be held online using Discord and Zoom. Details about the Discord server and Zoom call for the tournament will be provided through logistics emails closer to the date of the tournament.

This is a closed tournament for college teams, meaning all players on a team must attend the same college or university. A maximum of 6 players can be on a single team, with a maximum of four playing at a time. If possible, we recommend only four players on each team to maximize playing time for all members. The tournament will follow typical ACF gameplay rules. Closed high school teams may play this mirror.

The field is currently capped at 8 teams, with potential field expansion pending demand and staff availability.

Payment and Discounts
Base fee: $100/team
Staff discount: -$40/approved staffer with laptop
Shorthanded discount (1 or 2 person team): -$40
**Note: the shorthanded discount can only be applied to one team from each school.

Minimum fee: $60/team

Payment can be made using credit cards or checks made out to "The Academic Team at The Ohio State University"

Outside staffers will be paid $40 -- please contact Young Fenimore Lee

Monday, March 4th: Tournament registration deadline
Thursday, March 7th: Team drop deadline (past this point, teams that drop will be expected to pay the full tournament fee) and roster submission deadline

I lied. We're at 14 teams now, and now there's also potential for expansion to 16 teams. But unless we get more team staffers specifically, we wouldn't really want to expand further than that.
