IQBT Novice Online (04/13)

[Dantooine is Big!]

I am pleased to announce that an online mirror of IQBT Novice (an Americanized version of British Novice) will be taking place April 13, 2024.

The opening meeting will begin at 9:45 AM Eastern time and gameplay will begin at 10:00 AM Eastern. I, Young Lee, will be the tournament director. Please direct any questions about this site to me at youngflee99 at gmail dot com.

Set Information
This tournament will run on IQBT Novice, an Americanized version of British Novice. This is an easy (one dot) difficulty set.

Fees
Base Fee: $100
Staff Discount: -$40 approved staffer (should be able to solo staff a room effectively)
Shorthanded (1-2 players) Discount: -$40
Minimum Entry Fee: $60

Outside staffers will be paid $40. Please express interest by emailing youngflee99 at gmail dot com.

The field will be capped at 8 teams, pending staff availability. EDIT: We have increased the cap to 10 teams.

Rules
This tournament will use ACF’s gameplay rules with their addendum for the inclusion of powermarks.

Eligibility
A player is NOT eligible to play this tournament if they have met ANY of the following criteria:
Scored more than 60 PPG in the prelims of a college tournament
Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 15% of the field, rounded up, at a non-novice college tournament
Scored more than 60 PP20TUH in the prelims of HSNCT or 60 PPG in the prelims of PACE NSC
Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 30 at HSNCT or top 10 at PACE NSC
Finished in the top 12 in IPNCT
Scored more than 20 PPG in the prelims of ACF Nationals
