Elvis tournament

Post by theMoMA »

I'm not going to linger on the faults of this tournament because anyone interested in this thread will know what they were.

I just want to say that I was really excited to play against such a great field for an invitational tournament, and I hope that any shortcomings of this tournament won't hinder future packet submission tournaments with such a distinguished and competitive field in the Midwest region.

Plus I have a picture of Seth and Selene acting out the Keynesian Short Run Aggregate Supply curve if anybody wants it.

I have the complementary picture of the other part of that bonus (the AD curve) if anyone wants that.

Too true. I will say the following, though:

Repeats can be bad.

As a side note, it would be awesome if the standings could be posted somewhere. I find them useful for proving attendence at tournaments, for the purposes of claiming money from my team's fund. EDIT: Thanks to Mr. Lyon for posting them, as he has at this point done so.

Speaking of things that would be good to be posted, does anyone have any pictures of people enjoying the Beatles bonus (which admittedly took longer than a bonus should, at least in our room)?

I'm not gonna complain about a tournament where Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej came up twice.

The gentlemen in my room actually refused to perform that bonus. We had to settle instead for a one-person pantomime.

I agree: repeats are bad. Although I now know everything there is to know about El Cid.

I was hoping for a fourth appearance, myself.

El Cid was cool ... so that's good that you got a nice lesson. How many times did he come up ?

Three sounds about right, but it felt like many more.
