Which buzzer has the most pleasant sound?
The question is stated in the title. Which buzzer do you enjoy playing on because of its tone?

Those are the best. The two sets for opposing teams have different pitches, so that one goes "doodly-doodly-doo" and the other goes "deedly-deedly-dee." My teammate tried to make a song with them once.BuzzerZen wrote:I like the ones that go "doodly-doodly-doo"
EDIT: NINJA'D! [Whitman beat me to the buzz. Again.]

I'm never bothered by the Zeecraft sound, but the actual product isn't worth it because Zeecraft sucks so much. The ones I hate are the ones with any kind of really high pitched tone, and especially the ones with a really loud obnoxious low tone on one side and a really high tone on the other side. I dunno what they're called, but they were in Matt's room at Vanderbilt and we have run into them very frequently before.

Do you mean The Officiator from Anderson Buzzer Systems? It has a pleasant sound, and is named The Officiator.

A buzzer that can be placed on silent mode? That would be interesting. How about one that vibrates... oh wait....
There is also the computerized buzzer system where you can have your voice recorded in so that you can hear your own name when you ring in. Basically, self-recognition.
Granted, that would be creepy.

To my knowledge, University Research, the company that made the quiz-a-matic, is out of business. I will attest that it's a quite durable system.ChrisK.MIT wrote:Is there any way to acquire a Quiz-A-Matic anymore? We played on one at ICT and thought it was really cool, but the internet hasn't been able to give me a website (presumably the company never made it to the internet?). Agreed that acoustically and feel-wise it's a very neat system.
