Fred, think of it not as a catastrophe, but an opportunity. To do a lot of stuff over again. Wait, no, that does sounds sort of ballsy.

It does suck, but it gives me the opportunity to give a new band name. Before, I was the somewhat subtle "The Limes." Now...

But I only need one to unleash my ass whooping on medium level difficulty.

Unless you're referring to the number of letters, which is incorrect, as you have 20 on the ps2.

This has actually happened to me twice in the past month. On the bright side (if there is one), you at least get a good chance to practice.

EDIT: damn homophones...

Any idea what causes this?

And I just had a terrible thought... if my FFX save is corrupted, that would be pretty much terrible since I'm right at the end and decided to putz around with side quests rather than, you know, actually beat the game. That would be pretty much the worst thing ever.

When this has happened to me, the Guitar Hero II save was the only save corrupted. I have no idea what the actual cause is.

My band name is Delayed Spatula. I tried to convince my real band to name ourselves that, but no dice.

Also, Hard kicks my arse so bad. I can only do Medium half-decently. Stupid "Woman." I WANT TO ADVANCE PAST THE FIRST TIER!

My three band names in GH2: Hungarian Hurricane, Steam Kitten, and Noisegarden. Right now the only band name I have on GH3 and GH80s is Hungarian Hurricane, though. I've beaten the first three games (incl. 80s) on Expert, but for me the final two tiers are often more about surviving than scoring. Right now the devil is kicking my ass on GH3 Expert.

That is because battle mode is the dumbest thing ever, and for this one it's entirely luck of the draw for him to not get something overpowered at the beginning and kill you. The best advice I can give you (other than that Rock Band is a better game) is to launch three attacks at the same time at the beginning of a hard part for him.

For those stuck on Woman on Hard, don't feel bad. That is a pretty damn difficult song for such a low tier on hard. I've played through all but the last tier on hard and Woman is still sitting at 3 stars (despite getting 4 and 5 stars on most other songs).

For those of you still trying to alternate your pinkie finger between orange and blue, I'd suggest moving your hand one to the right (so that your pinkie is always on orange, your ring always on blue, middle always on yellow, and your index alternates between red and green). Your index finger is way less stupid than your pinkie when it comes to doing what you want it to.

For Green Grass and High Tides, when it gets to the second solo section, on the back-and-forth pattern I two-hand tap on the solo frets using both index and middle fingers. God bless the solo frets (although the strum bars suck, and I am waiting on a replacement guitar). If you get through the back-and-forth sections (at least two, IIRC), they're the hardest parts, so you should be fine for the rest.
