January Avatars: THE RETURN TO LORD WEARY'S AVATARS
Who's got a good theme for January?
In honor of the New England Patriots' undefeated regular season, I propose a theme of things which are perfect in quizbowl. Of course, this would lead to people not having any avatars, so if you've got something better, please post a suggestion.

Someone wasn't clear on my avatar, so I will explain: Keller doesn't power things, because he answers off the giveaways, but he occasionally negs (rarely, but it's non-zero), so P/N = 0. If the joke is too lame or not accurate enough I can try for something better, and the three minutes I spent making the avatar will be wasted.

I have seen a number of stats where Keller hasn't negged anything. However, Power to Tossup ratio might be workable.

I'm confused as to why we didn't make Jonathan Magin related avatars, seeing as how this is his year and all.

I'm doing a tribute to the anti-2007 Patriots.
I was proud of the IHSA 2nd Place Trophy we won many years ago until I was told to get rid of it because it had reached the age of three and was no longer relevant. We now give away all our trophies to students at the end of the year, but Gerhardt is keeping our IHSA Championship.

Are you freaking kidding me? Our school has our plaques etc. from the 1980's lovingly cared for in trophy cases in the main sports hallway. I'd say it gives our program some level of esteem, of heritage.ReinsteinD wrote:I'm doing a tribute to the anti-2007 Patriots.

Although I suppose New Trier could just buy some heritage if they felt like it.

I'm in for one. Other things considered:
The Japanese fighter plane
Jack Skellington's ghost doggie
The number of paragraphs not plagiarized in "Chip Beall: A Biography" (most of the material was taken from old ACF Nationals packets and cards from the 20th century edition of Trivial Pursuit)
Number of times Lee Henry and the Batman have been seen in the same place

I had contemplated "the likelihood that CBI will succeed in a corporate takeover of NAQT." However, I couldn't find the proper spelling of "squadoosh" (aka Pardon the Interruption's Oddsmakers "game").

"I'm in the face of your dreams of glass..." I'm sure there's some reason I never guessed those to be the lyrics.
