Post-Nationals Poll Time! - Congrats to Whitman!

Post by AKKOLADE »

Send your top 25 to me at [email protected] . B teams are definitely permitted and, as appropriate, encouraged. I reserve the right to reject weird or stupid ballots, your name will be released, etc.

Are these for current teams or is this a poll for next year's teams?

We currently at ten ballots. Why don't we have more? We should have more.

People who have cast ballots and are, in turn, awesome:

Evan Adams
Neiman Tan
Fred Morlan
Gazi Rashid
Bryce Durgin
Dave Bykowski
David from Whitman
Colin O'Donnell
Quint Carr
Evan Silberman

People who haven't cast ballots and, as a result, suck:

Everyone else

I would love to cast ballots, but i don't really agree that i "suck" because i've only seen two of the teams i'm going to vote for in live action. So... what exactly am i supposed to do? Remain "sucking" and not vote? Or vote without really any actual knowledge other than the scores i've seen here from HSNCT, PACE, etc.?

Sometimes seeing a team can just bias you one way or another. I figure the completely unbiased observer actually has the best chance of making an informed decision from the stats available.

So you think i should vote just based on the banter i hear here and the scores reported at nationals? That's substantial enough? If so, i'll give it my best shot.

How a team does on a nationals set against other national caliber teams is most certainly substantial evidence.

You can also check out head to head match-ups and other stuff about the assorted teams who did well at nationals on the Byko rankings, which I believe are linked off the homepage of this site.

So I screwed up and forgot MLK on my poll. I feel really badly for slighting a good team. If anyone's curious, they should be 15th on mine with everyone else getting bumped down.

Wish I could have submitted my poll but I was in Ireland. Overall the polls are fine. Besides 2 or 3. The top 10 for everyone were all pretty consistent.
