I would like to be there. Is there the possibility of Moon Pie being mirrored?

Would be looking for teammates, and if you're coming from the States, carpoolers/hotel sharers.

EDIT: My availability is dependent on field, finances, and if I end up going to a baseball game instead.

I now have a family this weekend and Michigan's insane gas prices would have deterred a long drive anyway. Sorry.

Yes. The estrangement was rather long and the legal battles difficult, but I just wanted my kids back.

Every time someone says that, an angel doesn't get his wings, but a lawyer gets his Benz.

On a serious note, if anyone is interested (anyone! Even a family-missing, Michigan-loving, gas-guzzling MC) in playing next weekend, let me know.

I guess I'm a maybe for this. Train prices aren't that exorbitant, as I don't think my car could make it all the way to Toronto.

On the plus side, my car reached 300,000 miles this weekend, so there's that.

The building the tournament will be held in is the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) building, 252 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Ontario (where this year's Terrapin Invitational was held).

If anyone's on the fence, we are planning to have prizes, and so forth.

So, apparently Canadian cities can't go for even a year without a riot. The good news though, is that Toronto is riot-free this year (no Stanley Cup as usual), and there are still spots open for FOGHAT this weekend!

I find it amusing that the two things that seem to make Canada riot are hockey and all manner of G8/G20 summits. Does anything else get you canucks riled up?

The protest riots in Canada always get overblown. For G20 in Toronto last year, the damage was basically four police cars plus windows. In Vancouver there were actual stabbings last night and a lot of people hurt -- as far as I can tell, the only riot we've had in Canada in my lifetime.

Not too much more than hockey and establishment politics; I doubt we'd ever have the race riots the US has seen, no.

EDIT: Have to make that "in the future", before somebody googles "Christie Pits"

A big thanks to all who came out. First place was won by Miran Terzic and Brian McNamara, while the top three scorers were Craig Moysey, Brian McNamara, and Victor Ferreira (Craig and Brian, I have your prizes). I will be posting the whole list of points scored shortly; we also raised $50 for charity. Thanks to everyone for making this an enjoyable event and just a reminder: This Set is NOT cleared for discussion: please don't discuss the questions publically or with anyone who wasn't there.
Best,
J
