2019-20 DII Preseason Poll

Post by SirMrGuy »

Since (apparently) no one else is doing this, might as well fill that niche. Like last year's poll, this is for teams who eligible for and are intending to play ICT DII (i.e. using NAQT's definition of DII).

Since there are two other preseason polls happening right now, and given that DII teams can take some time to materialize, ballots will be accepted until September 27th, one month from now. Voting is open to anyone, and there is an option to remain anonymous when the ballots are published. I reserve the right to remove "joke" ballots, but will try to be generally lenient especially if coherent justification is given.

I'm going to try something experimental with how the ballots are aggregated for this poll. Rather than assigning point values to rankings as has been standard in past polls, I will be using the Schulze method to generate the final rankings. As a consequence, ballots are allowed to have differing numbers of teams, though they are still required to have at least 8 teams and no more than 16 teams. Within that range, you are allowed to vote for as many or as few teams as you feel comfortable ranking.

Ballots will be collected using this Google form. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, either in this thread or via my email ([email protected]) or Discord. Happy voting!
