Hello everyone from the Groger Ranks team!

After a quieter than usual start to this season (with no preseason poll this season), we are back for our fourth season of rankings! We plan on continuing to release rankings for this season - including both online and in person tournaments for at least the first semester since safety concerns may make in person tournaments not yet a possibility for some regions.

We also would like to remind people of our tournament outreach grant https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... A/viewform open to teams who plan on hosting tournaments with the intent of reaching out to new teams or circuits. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why is TJHSST not included in the rankings?

Their performance on MRNA was very impressive, but so far that is the only set they’ve played and no other high school team has played MRNA (making it impossible to adjust). If they play another set that other high school teams have played (or other high school teams play MRNA), we’ll be able to rank them.

Sure, it makes sense that the MRNA performance can't be included in that case, but there are teams from TJ that have played on other sets. On IS-206, teams from TJ achieved Groger scores of 73.36, 76.92, and 78.09, which all seem like they should be in the rankings.

We're still waiting on performances to see what the actual full TJ teams would be, which we haven't yet seen this season (if before nationals there are no tournaments where the actual TJ teams play, we'll use whatever performances we can for our final rankings)

My team participated in two tournaments that were not A level sets this year. I believe that our performance at each of these tournaments would have cracked the top 400 ranking you posted, though most likely closer to 400 than to 1. Unfortunately, neither one appears to be reflected in your rankings. They were the NCIS tournament at Cave Spring HS:
