I am delighted to announce that the UNC Academic Team will host the Tar Heel Cup on March 19th, 2022. This tournament will use the Dart II question set, a hard high school set. I, Jonathan Shauf, will be the tournament director. Please direct any questions about this tournament to me at [email protected].

This is a closed high school tournament. The initial field cap will be 16 teams, subject to expansion depending on interest and staffer availability. We are abiding by university standards and requiring that masks be worn at all times while indoors.

This tournament will take place in person at Dey Hall on UNC’s campus. Games will begin at 9 AM with an opening meeting at 8:30 AM.

This tournament will use the standard rule-set of 15 point powers, 5 point negs, and no bouncebacks.

$65 per team base fee
-$10 discount per working buzzer system with at least 8 buzzers
-$10 travel discount for each 200 miles traveled one way (calculated from your school's campus to UNC via google maps)
Minimum fee of $15 per team
-$15 per experienced staffer
