Format:
Rounds will be 20 tossups and untimed, but we will keep the tournament moving at a fast and consistent pace. All other rules will be consistent with NAQT standard. See https://www.naqt.com/rules/ for a detailed breakdown of rules. We will be using question set IS-213.

This tournament will be a qualifier for PACE NSC.

Registration:
To register, please fill out this form or email us at [email protected] with with your school name and the number of teams, buzzers, and moderators you plan to bring. Registration will close on Saturday, October 22, a week before the tournament.

Fees and Discounts:

$65 per additional team
-$10 per fully functional buzzer system (at least eight working buzzers)
-$10 per experienced moderator
-$20 per team for schools new to quiz bowl this year (defined as: schools that did not attend any quizbowl tournaments in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years.)

The minimum fee per team is $40.

Schedule:
Teams should aim to arrive by 8:30 am, after which we will have an opening meeting followed by morning gameplay. The exact number of rounds and playoff/finals format will be determined by the field size. As the tournament approaches, more detailed logistical information will be provided to registered teams.

Are we going to get attestation forms soon like last year? These are forms it would be better to have sooner rather than later. Asking teachers to do all of this last minute is less than ideal. I hope I don't sound salty lol. I truly appreciate you coordinating this event.
