CREEK (HS Regular+) Available Fall 2023

We are pleased to announce CREEK, a high school regular+ difficulty set. We intend for this set to be ready for mirrors during the 2023–24 season beginning in September.
Writers and Editors:
Our head editor will be Hari Parameswaran (formerly of Georgia Tech).

The set will be written by current Beavercreek High School players and alumni.
Set Details
CREEK will consist of fourteen packets of 20/20. Tossups will be power-marked and bonuses will consist of three 10-point parts. Tossups will be hard-capped at 6 lines of Times New Roman size 10. The following distribution will be used:
4/4 Science
1/1 Biology, 1/1 Chemistry, 1/1 Physics, 1/1 Math/Other Science
4/4 History
1/1 American History, 1.5/1.5 European/Commonwealth History, 1.5/1.5 World History
4/4 Literature
1.5/1.5 Long Fiction, 1/1 Poetry, 0.75/0.75 Drama, 0.75/0.75 Short Fiction/Other
3/3 Fine Arts
1/1 Painting and Sculpture, 1/1 Classical Music, 1/1 Other Fine Arts
2.5/2.5 RMPSS
0.75/0.75 Religion, 0.75/0.75 Mythology, 0.5/0.5 Philosophy, 0.5/0.5 Social Science

The mirror fee for the set will be $20 per team. If you are interested in mirroring the set or have any questions, please email [email protected] with the subject line "CREEK”.
Note: the college set CREEK+ will be converted from CREEK. College staffers who wish to play CREEK+ must do so prior to staffing any CREEK tournaments—if your circuit uses college staffers, we request that CREEK mirrors be set after CREEK+. High schoolers will NOT be allowed to play CREEK+ and must play CREEK.
