Hello everyone! Happy December, and ten thousand years for Livi QB!

I am pleased to announce that Livingston High School, in Livingston, NJ, will be hosting its eleventh (!) annual March Madness tournament on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

SET: We are going to be using NAQT set IS-228.

TEAMS: Our field cap is 48 teams for now. If sufficient demand warrants and we are able to secure sufficient readers and buzzers, we may expand the field. Our hard cap will be 72 teams.

ROUNDS: We are planning on a round robin of preliminary rounds in the morning (depending on number of teams) followed by lunch and then playoffs to follow for all. We guarantee each team at least 10 rounds.

SCHEDULE: Registration will be open between 8 - 8:30. We will have a moderator meeting at 8:30 and an opening meeting at 8:45. Round 1 will start at 9:00. We aim to be done with the tournament between 5:00 - 6:00.

FOOD (oh yeah you know what's coming): A great, high quality bagel (with butter and cream cheese) and orange juice breakfast will be provided free of charge. We will be selling pizzas in the morning (we will confirm your order in the morning upon arriving to check in) at $20 per pie (please bring cash and as close to exact change as possible), as well as selling extra slices, waters, sodas, DELICIOUS homemade baked goods, and other food/snacks throughout the day, most all of which will cost $1 each. This is our team fundraiser so we would appreciate your support!

FEES:
$90 for the first team
$80 for each additional team from the same school
Discounts of $15 for each EXPERIENCED moderator (as needed) and $10 for each buzzer set (as needed).
Minimum fee of $50 per team

Schools will be responsible to pay for their registration if they drop after March 9th, barring reasonable extenuating circumstances.

HOW TO REGISTER: Registration constitutes filling out the following Google Form. In addition, prospective staffers interested in volunteering for the tournament should fill out this form.

This confirms your attendance and registration as well as how many buzzer systems and/or moderators you will be able to bring. Please understand that posting on the forum does not constitute officially registering nor any official communication with the team. Email is the best way to communicate any possible concerns or questions.

PAYMENT: Please bring cash payments or make all checks out to "Livingston High School." Payment is required by tournament time. If you require a pre-tournament invoice in order to have a check cut, please let us know ASAP or by March 9th so that we can send you the invoice in sufficient time. If you need to mail your check, or need a W9, let us know upon registration.

Livingston High School is located at 30 Robert H. Harp Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039-2634. We're close to major interstates and only a 1/2 hour drive to Manhattan.
